This kind of water bed consists of 7 individual tubes that can be filled to your desired firmness. The tubes sit completely encased in a linear in a hard foam frame topped with a mattress. This type of water bed can easily be put in an upstairs rental because unlike conventional waterbeds, leakage is next to impossible because the tubes are completely surrounded by mattress and if one were to leak, it is only one tube and not the entire bed. It is comfortable beyond belief. We have had many happy dreams on this bed and are selling only because we have upgraded to a Cal King Sleep Number!! The bed needs a platform or box spring.
